BioRICS
Biological Responses
in Complex Systems

www.biorics.be

Dear Visitor,

BioRICS’ mission is to improve the overall wellness, health condition, sport performances and mental status of human beings.

There are many variables in living organisms that can be measured: heart rhythm, stress status, respiration rate, body weight, body temperature, behaviour variables, etc… They can be considered as biological response to environmental or non-genetic factors such as medication, food and training programs. With sensors and sensing technology such variables can be measured in real time on the human body. In this context BioRICS delivers software (algorithms) and systems to get information from such measurements in order to develop specific actions.

BioRICS’ algorithms and systems serve two major objectives:
• to monitor the individual and time varying status of the human body both for physical and mental variables
• to predict in real time the upcoming responses or behaviour of individual body performances

The ultimate goal is to use these real time predictions for anticipating and improving the status or performances of an individual human being by adapting influencing variables such as training intensity, food intake, environmental factors, medication and so on.

In contrary to traditional algorithms, it is important to underline the fact that BioRICS’ algorithms always apply and adapt in real time to a specific individual person and his status at a given moment, and therefore do not consider a human being as a statistical average of a population.

BioRICS’ algorithms and systems can be applied in many fields such as sports, fitness, well being, heath care, etc…

We hope you will enjoy the lecture of our website an we invite you to contact us to know more about the exciting possibilities of the BioRICS concepts.

Kind regards
